that john Denver is full of crap

Last Friday Klayton came home from work and asked what we were doing that night. I wanted to take advantage of his last Saturday off in who knows how long, and told him that we should go on a trip. That was all it took to get K to pull out his big road map book and start judging distances. We quickly settled on Denver, about 9 hours away, booked a hotel, packed our bags and headed out. We drove all night and enjoyed the sights of Denver all weekend. We went to a Rockies game at Coors Stadium (Such an exciting game!! Rocks scored the winning run in the 9th inning after some major back-and-forth with the SD Padres. Of course, at about the 6th inning K pulled out his phone and played virtual Risk for the rest of the game, but I enjoyed the it.), we saw Up! (ah-maz-ing), and just enjoyed the sites. It's a beautiful town. Unfortunately what we didn't do a lot of was picture-taking, but here's what we did snap...

I LOVE that you took a family roadie. So spontaneous. I'm inspired. Denver sounds fun! Never been. I love baseball games, I need to get myself to one this summer. UP is amazing, I agree!

What a fun spur of the moment trip- I used to like baseball games but I would totally be Klayton now-they go on a little too long. But, Avery seems to be enjoying herself so she must take after her mommy there:)
