rock with you

Before I give my vacation report, I must say Happy Father's Day to me pop. It was great to spend the day with him and I love him mucho. Thanks for making me laugh, Dad.

The beach trip this year was amazing. So much fun. I love my family and our extended family! They are the best. And I think that my Grandma Wyand is awesome for putting this trip together for us every year. It's really important to her that all of us get together and I think that's a great goal. It's nice to know all of my aunts and uncles and cousins on my mom's side so well. Anyway... We got to go to the beach for three days of the week, and I think that those days tied with meeting Mickey and Minnie at Disneyland in Av's book. She is such a little fish! I swear, at least three people had to watch her at all times because she would just take off for the ocean! And she loved digging into the sand, too. She got so dirty and thought it was the most fun thing ever. She was everyone's entertainment as well- it was fun just watching her have so much fun.

Going to Disneyland was an amazing day as well. Avery loved every minute. Her favorites were going with Grandma to Toon Town to visit Mickey and Minnie and Goofy's houses. I caught up to my mom and Avery when she was in line to meet Minnie, and as soon as we got up there, she started kissing Minnie on the nose repeatedly! It was hilarious. She rode tons of rides (and got totally spooked on a few- Pirates of the Carribbean and the Finding Nemo submarine ride were the worst offenders), but overall it was a perfect day. My mom took most of the pictures at Disneyland, but here are some of the highlights from my camera.

Klayton and Doug, after planning and plotting all this last year, tackled a few sandcastle masterpieces. I think they are pretty darn amazing.

Our last day in California we went up to L.A. for a Dodger game!! We schooled the Mariners and it was tons of fun. The best part (and dream come true for me- don't laugh) is that after the game we got to GO ONTO THE FIELD to watch a fireworks show. I WALKED ON THE FIELD AT DODGER STADIUM!!!!!! I took of my shoes (sacred ground) and ran around and giggled like a little kid. So did my older brother. And dad. What a great night.

Of course the trip was not long enough-I'm glad we got to see each other. Avery is adorable and so much fun-maybe next year McKenna won't be such a bully:)
