the french connection pt. 1

we spent our first three days in france cruising around paris. it was beautiful. avery did awesome on the plane and was great our entire trip. it was fun to see that French people react to her the same as Americans do: lots of oohing and ahhing and face-touching (ick haha). we saw everything; the eiffel tower, the louvre, notre dame, arch de triumph, the opera house and we took a nightime cruise down the seine.
my favorite part of paris? THE FOOD. we hit a boulangerie every morning for pain au chocolat or chocolate suisse or tart aux pommes. then whatever looked good for lunch and dinner - can you say cassoulet? croque monsieur? quiche? yum yum yum. i was meant to be a french chef. or at least a french taste-tester. what am i doing here!?! haha.
another of my favorites? we followed Sabrina's (Audrey Hepburn version [1954]) rules for going to Paris for the first time. no umbrellas. rain on the first day.
the weather was a little chilly, but totally perfect for a visit to paris in the fall. yay!

Mandy I am so happy that your trip went well and that Avery did great. I have been thinking about you and how it went and now I got to see all of these great pics too. All of that marvelous food you were talking about is making me drool-I have no idea what most of it is-but it sounds great. I think McKenna might have some fierce competition from her cousin Avery's sultry serious looks:)
